Chris Avinash In the late ‘90s, Angel Dust (the band, not the drug) took the Indian rock scene by storm. There were no record deals, no sponsorships and very little money. But there was passion - and, a love for original music that unites musicians and their audience. Rewind to the summer of ’89. A gangly 15 year old Chris walked the neighbours’ dog (or vice versa) and bought his first guitar - for the princely sum of Rs 173! He taught himself how to play and then led some of the best Indian rock bands, directed a 76 piece choir of schoolgirls in a musical, starred in a Tim Supple production, started an independent recording studio – but continues to be walked by a dog(Junior, his Great Dane). And, somewhere in between he got an MBA too. The result: a good head for business coupled with great musical talent. Spotlight Backstage Backstage
